Glass of prosecco!

Can't beat a bit of fizz!

I just had some sparkling water with lemon squash and ice. Always perks me up.

Lots of sparkling wine at weddings.

Sootyj is currently contemplating a very large bottle of vimto, delighting in the knowledge no one else in the world likes it.

Just whipped up a whiskey sour and very nice it is on this lovely evening.

I'm running dangerously low on bourbon now. Might get a bottle of rye whiskey next time as I haven't had that before. Opinions?

I find bourbons always a bit sweet, but they're certainly drinkable why not.

In hot weather Sootyj prefers gin with tonic, bitter lemon or grapefruit juice with plenty of ice and lime

I've never been that big a fan of gin, but I'll be getting some soon as I need to practice making a martini.

it only really work in cocktails

I went through a phase of drinking gin and tonic about a decade ago, but quite frankly I was being a ponce.

gin and tonic is a warriors drink not a worriers drink

Only had blended whisky so far, so looking forward to trying a single malt.

Sick Sick Sick Don't like whisky ... or haggis... I'm a terrible Scot.

it maybe a revelatory experience.

And not for the faint hearted.

Ben never struck me as faint of heart.

The whisky was bloody lovely.
