Was the film that came out a few years ago any good?

Yep. It was great. :)

Because Hollywood - and the music industry, for that matter - are devoid of original ideas. Everything is a sequel, prequel, or remake.

As if more evidence was needed. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/wenn/20080813/ten-thornton-to-star-in-nightmare-on-elm-c60bd6d.html

Down with modern populist media! Downloading is the way forward, my friends. Show them how shit they are. :)

I suppose eventually everything will be remade, just for the money, and all you can do is not encourage the makers by watching them. Don't watch remakes.

Horror movies are the worst at the moment, they're remaking everything, usually to little effect and critical panning.

He's 53.
They're not exactly replacing him with a younger model.

The original 'Nightmare' was by far the best. You can't improve on it, so why bother? I'm sure it'll be worth a few bucks to BBT though.

I can't believe they're remaking Rocky Horror, it's ridiculous.

It's such a famous script, they won't be able to change that, they can't alter the songs or the costumes without being panned so what it the point??

They'll probably make it exactly the same then it will be like that crap pointless remake of Psycho where Vince Vaughan looked like Graham Norton! Angry

It's completely sacrilege!

I think there is a thing where so many years after something is written, you no longer have to ask permission to use it. You still pay royalites but the creator can't stop you from actually using it as long as they pay them.

I could be wrong but I vaguely recall something like it!

The rights are almost certainly owned by Fox, so they can do whatever they want with them.
