Yeah. Went to London in April by train. Could have gone by coach, but where is the fun in that!!
Weird things you have read about. Page 76
Quote: Robert D @ June 19 2009, 11:00 PM BSTWhat is it that has attracted you to it? The Pleasure Beach? The Tower? Or the sewage filled sea?
I actually went to the Pleasure Beach this afternoon. Had a couple of tickets to go on either the Grand National or the Big One. I got there and damn... "The Pepsi Max Big One is closed today due to high winds". Fancy building a coaster that can't stand high winds.
For a town that's trying to attract new visitors, you're hardly helping are you!!!
PS: He is right.

I'm saving people's lives.

Lovely people.

Mental illness is a terrible thing. I don't think I'd go shooting with my mother if I knew she had a history of suicide attempts and mental illness.
Unless you suffer from a history of suicide attempts etc.
Perhaps the mentally ill shouldn't be allowed to attend shooting ranges.
Just a thought.

They aren't. The women fraudulently signed a statement asserting that she wasn't mentally ill, hadn't been mentally ill in the past, etc.
Shooting ranges won't let unaccompanied person rent a pistol and shoot alone. They assume that nobody is going to commit suicide with a friend or family member in attendance. It doesn't do much good if he/she plans to murder that friend or family member.

Well of course she would.
Is that how thoroughly they check if you have a criminal record as well?
'Are you a naughty criminal? No? Okay then, if you say so, here's an Uzi.'

Purchase of a firearm entails an actual search of police records. Renting one at a shooting range doesn't. They check your driver license to ensure you're the correct age and the rest comes down to your word. It's not like you'll be able to get away with the gun - everyone in the building is armed and they'll mow you down if you try to steal the gun or rob the place.
I'd have thought one question would be sufficient: "Do you want a gun?" If they answer yes, then they're obviously unsuitable.

What would you steal from a shooting range?

Those target things with the menacing looking guy dressed as a soldier. If you live in a rough area you could place them on the windows to deter burglars who have poor eyesight.

Some butts?
