Oh. Dear. Lord.
Not sure what's worse; the idea of her being here as ambassador, or that they referred to 'The Times' as 'London Times'. 'The Times (London)' would have been far more correct.

She is nice though.
Not a big ol' weirdo?

I'm sure Trisha is, too, but I'd feel a little queasy if she were made ambassador to the United States.
Ha!
No, Oprah is actually very nice and sensible and intelligent. (except for being a bit 'spiritual').
Her fans/audience members though, are mostly fruitcakes. They worship her like she's god or summink. Don't know how she puts up with them.
Because they allow her to rake in $quillion$, one imagines.
Ah yes!
That'll be it.

O RLY?
Hah! I dread to think what's on that clip...
*watches*
So uh, what? Is it like a Chris Morris style thingy?
Don't get it.
What happened is, some joker from 4chan (which is an internet message board frequented by hackers and meme-inventors and porn enthusiasts, as any web-savvy fule kno) left a message on Oprah's website forum.
This person used language very familiar to 4channers ("Over 9000" and "We don't forget. We don't forgive.") in their fear-mongering organised paedo ring message, and rather than research the source, Oprah read the message out on air as FACT.
Then the internet laughed at her. And mixed the clip into various songs and videos.
Admittedly it's only funny if you know something about 4chan, and think that paed-related scare-mongering deserves to be mocked.
In essence the message is Chris Morris-like, in that it should act as a warning to celebrities not to read out any old words that are handed to them without properly researching the background.
Ahhh, I see!
I want one of these machines:
Ha, pointless, but still kinda cool.
MTV's new video hosting site is apparently bleeping out the names of file sharing sites in Weird Al Yankovic's famous 2006 song "Don't Download This Song." The opening verse to the song goes as follows:
Once in a while maybe you will feel the urge
To break international copyright law
By downloading MP3s from file-sharing sites
Like Morpheus or Grokster or Limewire or KaZaA
Yet, in that new MTV version, the last line is "Like *BLEEP* or *BLEEP* or *BLEEP* or *BLEEP*" rather than naming the four file sharing programs. Watch it here: http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20081030/0358562688.shtml
I saw a weird thing being transported by a truck on my drive home from work last night and had to race home to Google it. Check out the crazy video:

Looks like a hell of a ride.
