Technology and the internet never fails to amaze.

Am I thinking that's home of the Ghostbusters? Where's Bill Murray, is he stuck in a tree like his character in Get Smart?

I thought that too.

Is it?

Hopefully the dodgy link worked, but yeah it's the Street View of the actual building used for Ghostbusters.*

StreetView is ace. There's one of a burning house somewhere too. And a pissed man asleep on some grass.

*And an episode of Seinfeld, fact fans.

Not to mention every house I've ever lived in if you look at the thread I started a few days ago.

Here's the Brady Bunch house:

Wow, streetview is awesome. Are they going to do it for every city?

Knowing Google, they plan to cover as much of the planet as they can before moving on to Mars.

They're doing the UK at the moment apparently.

But they did France first!

(Just the Tour de France part)

Is this the site to help burglars so they don't have to actually go to recce in advance where they're going to rob? Just look on line for entrances, escape routes etc. Wonderful idea!

That's a good point, and I'm sure it won't be missed.

The quality of the photos isn't all that great, so I doubt it'll be of much use to garden variety crooks. But, in a greater scope, it could be of slightly more use to a serious terrorist organization and quite helpful for a military organization. But it's still nothing you can't see for yourself during a leisurely stroll down the street.
