Clichy started and kept a clean sheet- 6
Toure came on as a sub and kept a clean sheet- 3
Diouf started- 2
Mullins came on as a sub- 1
Torres started and scored- 7
Bent started- 2

6+3+2+1+7+2= 21 ;)

Ah, that's where I went wrong this time. I thought you only got one point if a player didn't complete the 90 minutes, but fair dos.

very impressive for a defender.

I noticed that - still 5 wasn't bad for a defender either considering there was no clean sheet. Senderos was a let down, I tried to find out if he's injured or whether he was left out for other reasons, cos if he's not going to be playing much during the season I'll be down to 10 men every game :(

Well, that happens quite often with Arsenal players- 10 men.

'Cause he's been injured forever. Didn't he get a go a while back? Friendly I think.

And he's injured again. He's got some pretty bad luck.

Our whole f**king team is cursed!

Cursed with awful medical staff!

Agreed, still a young lad, should make it. Much better than Michael Owen.

Even though his second goal was off-side. How long is he out for? Maybe I'll have to go into the transfer market.

Player on the line?

It's only a niggle, but with West Ham he could be out for another 7 months.

Doesn't anyone know the bloody rules? That's what the commentator says and I despair. If commentators don't know the rules how can they comentate.

There has to be 2 players - not just 1.

Defender and the keeper, that's two isn't it?

I'd like to actually know, but we were shunted on right at the very end of the running order for five minutes so I really can't remember.

The goalie was out though. People usually expect them to be there when they're not.

Sorry PhQnix but it does irritate me that the so-called experts don't know what they're talking about.

Thank God it's a marathon not a sprint...

And I had Steinson in but replaced him with Gary Neville when I had a spare million and noticed the price of Neville. Bollocks.

I just watched it again, just to check. :P Ashton was level with the keeper and a defender so there were three players between him and the goal.

OK - maybe I'll let you have it but as an ex-referee I would have disallowed it - just to be controversial! After all, out there you don't get the benefit of replays.

you don't get the benefit of replays.

Or, much of the time it would seem, eyesight.

That would spoil half the fun.

If you supported the team I do that would definitely be true Laughing out loud

Anyway...

2 of my defenders conceded 8 goals between them :(
I don't like this game!
