yep, and that actor who played Bookman, Philip Baker Hall has been around for years, he's in my favourite film Midnight Run

It's decent show, but there are a lot of relly average episodes. To me friends is one of those shows to watch when there's nothing else on.

I was obsessed with Friends as a teenager. From the age of 14 through to 18 I bought every available episode on video. Of course by the time the show had ended everything was about DVDs and I had this massive video collection I no longer wanted. Gutted.

Ditto. I've got all the HMV special edition box sets on video. Completely pointless now.

Absolutely love the show though. Never get sick of seeing it. :)

I've got them all on video as well, you're right, too muvh space, and I can't be bothered to take them down to charity shops. My collecton is mixed as well, some series as boxsets, some as individual videos

The DVDs are so cheap now, it's not even worth the effort of transferring the videos to DVD.

Side point: Is that actually legal to do that if you've spent money buying the official videos? I've always wondered about that.

Strictly speaking, bypassing copy protection is a crime. There is a widely held view in many countries that if you've bought something (a CD, video, DVD) you are allowed to make a back-up/archive copy or transfer for your personal use only. But that could be a myth. Are there any lawyers/law students here?

Are they bringing a 'friends' movie out? surely it'd be 10x bigger than sex in the city!

I was thinking about a Friends movie the other night.
To be honest I think it would be difficult to make it work very well, Unless they had a really good story line like - Ross loses Rachel, Ross nearly get's Rachel back, Ross get's Rachel back, Ross loses Rachel again, etc etc.

That sounds great. I think Ross should get back together with Rachel in the end though. Anyone else agree? :|

I always thought he'd end up with Monica.

Laughing out loud

It would be really good in the film if Phoebe did something really kooky. You know, something like really kooky. And then Chandler could say something sarcastic about it and Joey could say "How you doing?" and Monica could clean up something...

Seeing as the Sex and the City movie "worked". I think the hype around the Friends Movie and the comparison to Sex' it would be panned by critics, which will probably be its downfall.

Also, I enjoyed Friends because it was an easy to pick up and watch half hour sitcom. I grew fond of the characters, but not enough to sit through just the soapy side of it. The characters were to cartoony for that. Plus, it would be filled with annoying references to past episodes.

If Joeys also a bit hungry & Ross is embarassing himself then I think you've got yourself a hit movie.
