The Complete Guide to Parenting

So the guys at BSG have given The Complete Guide to Parenting a special award, far enough.

I sat down the other night to watch this in full, but only made in mid way though the second episode before drifting off and doing something else, Personally I thought it was dull.

I don’t think it been discuss on the forum yet, so I’m I alone, should I give another go.

Your view ladies and gents.

I don't think that you are alone, unfortunately.

It's one of those shows that one does have to watch properly, as it includes a lot which would just pass by as an irrelevant aside or such, but then pays off as a brilliant, truly laugh-out-loud moment later on. Having said that, I personally found that there was enough which wasn't so intricate and nicely woven, in order to keep me interested and laughing (I really have a short attention span...). Perhaps I went in with particularly low expectations as it was an ITV show though.

I saw three episodes and forgot about it after that. To me, it was a kind of One Foot sort of program. Peter Davidson's character was shown
to be exasberrated and for you to feel sorry for him. It wasn't funny though, and it was odd to be just five episdoes long. The F word was used a bit too much as well. To me, swearing always turns a comedy into something deadly serious. That's why I never found A Fish Called Wanda remotley amusing.
