Let Them Talk - Geraldo Pino and the Heartbeats
Good but that's more funk, what Charles Earland is about is jazz and here's another great exponent - Richard "Groove" Holmes. Sadly both now dead.

Saw Holmes at Ronnie Scott's many years ago and was introduced to this style of jazz by a black American serviceman I was great friends with the 70s.

That's nice. There used to be a pub in York called the John Bull. It was full of dogs and cats and CAMRA types who looked like Chris on Eggheads. I was able to encourage people to accompany me there on most Thursdays as they had a three piece jazz band. And every week I put in a specific request for them to play "Misty" for me. That, though, was on the saxophone. The other favourite was "Cry Me A River". The women liked the music and the aminals and that but had issues with the smell of the establishment. They said it was like a toilet which it was but that was down to the guest bitters there and their open all doors policy.
