Move It - Cliff Richard

Some great selections there from the Max Millers to those instrumentals. I've got the Joe Meek collection but my favourite instrumental from that era is probably The Duals' Stick Shift because it was used as the theme to Roger Scott's "Cruisin'" in the mid/late 1970s - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNuG2d4r5Qs.

Richard III - Supergrass

Sueperman's Big Sister - Ian Dury and the Blockheads

(Spelling correct although not the same as previous one I know.)

Thanks Horseradish! :) Yup, like your choice, although not my era and have to admit I'd never heard of it.

Yes, the early 60s were the heyday of instrumentals, which I was very much into and still have all those and more of the original 45s which I play on my 1960s multi play record player. The sound, of course, is much different to CD compilations and takes me back to my heady days of bikes and girls! Cool

Big fan of Max Miller - "there'll never be another" So ahead of his time and little wonder that he got so much flak with his material, given the era he was working in.

I think we should move this discussion to the Pop/Rock Music thread.

Sueperman's Big Sister by Ian Dury and the Blockheads is waiting to be linked up.
