Yep that's what I'm gonna do-reshuffle the scenes. *sigh* it's going to be a very long next week.

I'd definitely save exposition for your cover letter and concentrate on your funniest stuff. This may sound obvious but where possible you may want to consider scenes with humour that isn't esoteric to the characters - any wit, cracking one-liners and excellent writing that is just funny no matter who delivers it.

Sometimes i think it's easy to get lost in the world you've created and forget the reader is seeing it for the first time. The spec script is always such a different prospect than your actual plans. ;)
