So all the road signs in Wales are just telling the English to f**k off?

Dunno I cant read them.
Same here. Not a Welsh speaker. No inclination either. There are too many languages in the world and we need to simplify not diversify.
The Slaggs may be interested Simon. How come you're in Cardiff these days? What generally happens at one of these meetings - we don't have to do weird initiations?
Quote: David Bussell @ July 31 2008, 11:06 AM BSTAs far as I know there are no Welsh writers on this forum.
Bussell, if you look in your nearest slipper. That one, not that one. you'll find I've managed to deposit a large turd in it. It's in the shape of Aaron's gay gene I'll think you find. I told you not to leave that window open.

Only if you want to.
We all meet fortnightly to do readthroughs and critiques. We can also request the WGGB send over some of their more successful members to give the odd talk. There used to be a comp that the best script from a Writers' Circle would get some kind of reward, but I'm not sure that's the case anymore.

What day?
It depends what's best for everyone - Tuesdays or Thursdays are good for me. Everyone has to be members of the WGGB though as we have to submit a rosta.
Anyone up for this? Probably best to get together in a pub first and decide on the dates and times etc.
I'd like to be part of this but I hardly think getting sketches performed by Newsrevue and Treason puts me into a proper writers 'circle'. The likes of Slagg A are much more prodigious than moi. Plus August through to October are solid booked with rehearsals for me so it would be December before I could really put in any commitment.

Don't you hibernate after that?
yeah, we can all bitch about how if we don't live in England or London we will never get anywhere with our writing as there's f**k all here for us
Cool, when I did it in Manc the numbers were swelled with people from writing courses, so we can do that if we decide to.
Say 8pm on the 12th Aug at Dempsey's?
Roscoff - all are welcome, besides, getting your stuff produced by Newsrevue and Treason is impressive.

Which is Dempsey's? Is it near the Walkabout?

I gotcha. There is a multistory car park behind that if memory serves.
