British Comedy Guide

What's on your mind?

Do you ever worry where your ideas come from? Do you ever worry they might reflect a deeper, perhaps unsettling truth about ones self?

What would Charle's Mansons stnadup be like? or Hitler's sitcom?

I write this partially because whilst noodling around I boredly 4 skits.

2 about male gang rape, and 2 about violent giant sperm cells.

Am I communing with the monsters in my Id?

Is it more likely to be an ESP link to Moseley's mind?

Maybe.

Griff the scary thing is I work for them.....

Dennies Nielson used to be a policeman.

Didn't he also present it'll be alright on the night?

Probably presented whislt he had a human head in the slow cooker at home.

Griff has it summed up in his sig.

Also the Travelling Wilbury's sang:

"It's a dirty World, a f**king dirty world.."

That was a George Harrison line - he couldn't have got away with it on the "Please Please Me" album!

George Harrison is great and here is a rare shot of him being very funny, on one of my favourite subjects

You cannot put pen to paper or finger to keyboard without confessing something.

Especially true in dictatorships.

Totally agree with the real sentiment behind the quote though. Self in some way is always revealed by your subject, your implicit / explicit editorial stance towards it, and your choice of words.

All comedy comes from truth, but like in psychotherapy whats the truth?

Are you chasing some one cos you're a mugger, or to return their dropped wallet?

I have the same 'what does this reveal about myself' thoughts. Here is some advice.

Convey your most revealing witicisms in person rather than on paper. Less permament that way, and you can always deny them later. If your really concerned then start the story with 'this bloke I know called Sootyj told me this one....'

I know a lot of people that think your very strange;)

Bugger really?

I work in the community with people with profound mental/learning/emotional issues.

My team is made up of fundamentalist Christian, and Muslim refugees.

I guess i never noticed myself slipping into madness.

I didn't have much of a baseline to stick to.

Bugger.

Yeah nice to see that. Thanks!

The Beatles/Pythons/Bonzos were all a bit interested in each others work, I reckon. Seminal stuff. For me anyway.

Are you leading by example?
Laughing out loud

Agree re: Harrison - and yep, the Beatles and those bands / troupes were linked so good for me to see too.

Are you really a nutter Sooty? :O
