Gordon and Jacqui on Drugs. (sketch)

GORDON BROWN AND JACQUI SMITH - DRUGS SKETCH
by Mikey J

INT. NUMBER 10. DAY.

GORDON:
Jacqui. Looks like our tough measures on knife crime might be working. Statistics show a sharp fall in knife crime.

JACQUI:
Yes, Gordon. Very good, but what are we going to do about drugs?

GORDON:
People are still critisizing the twenty four hour licensing laws, but drink related crime seems to be decreasing steadily.

JACQUI:
Not bad. But what are we going to do about drugs?

GORDON:
In fact, statistics are showing that crime overall is down.

JACQUI:
That's good news, Gordon. But what are we going to do about drugs?

GORDON:
Oh, for f**k sake, Jacqui! Here's fifty quid. Go out and get some pills and an eighth of skunk.

END.

Good pacing, and nicely put together.

But the punch is if anything a bit too sudden.

I think there's laughs in the fact that she was a bit of a toker at Uni,

I like this. I thought It could have been developed a bit further. I like the fact that Gordon is very chilled and relaxed during this sketch, why not extend on that and have him passing Jacqui a spliff to toke on at the end?

I liked it.

Good stuff!

Some very good suggestions here, thank you. :)

This one was written with Newsrevue in mind.... short, sharp, punchy.

But I will write a longer version for other avenues. :)

Of course, it HAS to be said that even though the title of this thread is "GB and JS on Drugs" , it migt have been a bit misleading... in the sketch they are NOT actually on drugs.

It simply relies on the fact that you think JS is asking about GBs policies on drugs.
