New act at Glastonbury

Here's a bit of fun, might tickle you.

EXT. STAGE 5 AT GLASTONBURY - DAY

There's no band on stage, as TV presenter Johnny Fab runs on stage.

JOHNNY (into hand mic)
Helloo!

JOHNNY
Well, I hope you enjoyed Status Quo before the break. We've got some more great music for you now. They've been finding it hard to get gigs, and local councils are banning them, but we've got them here for you now. Here they areā€¦ THE ICE CREAM VANS!

Three ice cream vans drive onto the stage and in perfect unison being playing playing Greensleeves over their speakers.

Nice, and if you change the direction to GRAMS for the vans, i'd send it to NR.

Maybe have the crew boo them as disgusting or something?

Short, sharp and extremely funny!

Thanks chaps, much appreciated. This is a bit shorter than my normal writings, where I seem to keep trying to over-egg the pudding. I must learn that sometimes less is more.

Well I could see it being done at either NR or TS.

The Ian Paisley skit that was literally 2 lines long, has gone to Brighton, Edinburgh, and London twice.

It's a lesson i too need to learn.

I haven't submitted anything to them before. You mentioned 'GRAMS', so they accept scripts in radio format? To be performed on stage? I have to admit I'm not familiar with NR or TS. I'll have to read up about them.

I'd do it as a sort of combo.

Basically as long as it's clear they're happy.

OK, thanks.
