The Flipside...

I see The Flipside of Dominick Hide is on tonight, I saw this some years ago and thought it was great. It will be interestibg to revisit, as the poster on the homepage of here remarked, and see how it holds up. I don't remember Caroline Langrishe as being in it, but a few years ago I as bluffing my way through a comedy writing course for the Screenwriters Workshop, when who should attend but the svelte Ms Langrishe. I do remember taking her up the local pub afterwards and discussing the role of the knob gag in the contemporary sitcom.

As I am name dropping, a funny thing happened this week. A few weeks ago I was doing an outline page to go with a sitcom pilot wot I had wrote - about a couple in their sixties getting divorced - and I included some casting ideas and had put down Nicky Henson and Liza Goddard as the leads. Well goodness me... as I was sitting at the bar of my local doing the Daily Mail crossword and having a few large vodka and redbulls when in walks Nicky Henson! I told him what I had done a few weeks earlier re putting him down as the ideal lead for my sitcom... and if I am brutally honest - he didn't seem too impressed!

:)

I I sent Michele Pfeiffer script for a sticom starring me, and her in a nudist colony.

Ungrateful bitch called the police.

He should have been grateful!

I will definitely try to watch this, although I've never heard of it in my life. It sounds fun.

P.S. That is like the longest sig ever, sooty!
Although it is ace. I love that book.
Couldn't you put it in slightly smaller font size though? I keep thinking it's part of your post. I'm a bit thick like that.

Edit; I wish I could time travel.. I'd stop myself watching that rubbish for a start. I may have been good back in the 80s, but not now. :(
