I don't do heights at all well.
I've tried to conquer my fear but on more than one occasion I've had to have my white knuckles prised from a hand-hold and be helped to descend backwards, crawling, on my stomach or a combination of those maneouvres.
Most embarrasing occasion? Bottled it halfway up a lighthouse on an open day. Other paying guests behind me had to squeeze past me to continue their ascent whilst I gingerly descended by sitting on each step, one at a time. 
That's pretty hardcore, but I also do claustrophobia 9which is a bad idea when you're a bit chunky)
Visited an old Cold war sub, and was ok squeezing through the passages till I got trapped in one narrow corridor between 2 different groups.
Literally wedged in, I mean I slid out. Only avoided a full on panic attack by trying to remember old Carter USM lyrics.

I nearly drowned in a swiming pool learning to scuba, couldn't get into the breathing into the mask thing
I ate something I was allergic (some kind of drug), ended up being able to breathe out but not in. Petrified.
Woke up 2 days later in hospital.

When I was a teenager I was playing on my PC when the screen started flashing and then the lights went off. First thought? powercut? No, for some reason I thought aliens had landed and were invading.
To this day I have no idea why I thought that but I've never been so scared than when I thought I would have to be a slave to a galactic overlord.

Coldplay do sound like them. The Bends is a cracking album. Probably my favourite Radiohead one.
