Quote: roscoff @ December 17 2009, 9:34 AM GMTI somehow picture you as an 'Alice in Wwonderland' type girl. Wandering around talking to rabbits and cats. Then there's the short blue dress and hair band and... I'll stop now
Ha! I do talk to cats. Lots.

We all do. Nothing to be ashamed of there.
Quote: Dolly Dagger @ December 17 2009, 1:58 PM GMTI have been collecting everything to do with Alice in Wonderland since I was a kid. My nickname as a kid was Alice (yep, I used to wear a headband) and it started with a brilliant boardgame someone gave me, set around the Mad Hatter's tea party, where there's a real teapot in the middle of the board.
I have loads of versions of the books, a chess set, dolls, soap, plates, games, fridge magnets, etc.
Excellent! Is probably my favourite book. I only like the original illustrations though. I looked a bit like her when I was really little too - had the weird blonde hair and dark eyebrows combo. She was a pretty strange looking girl really.

The Tenniel illustrations are the best, but I have some copies with really 20s style illustrations. Carroll's original drawings to Alice's Adventure's Underground were very different and obviously based on Alice Liddell.
Ooooooh. *googles*

Anyone who doesn't talk to cats is odd. Full stop. End of.
What if they talk back?...
Really we need another Shrek film?
