Fans of The Watchmen.... Page 4

The comic had my 2 favourite lines in a comic ever. Have the first print comics in plastic wallets :)

I read an interview with the director and he said there wouldn't be a sequel, so I hope those rumours aren't true.

I read that too. Doesn't mean the studio wouldn't consider a different Director. Hopefully they'll see sense.

Omg!

Zack Snyder Confirms Non-Squid Ending in Watchmen Movie.

More posters.

Ok that's it no squid=crap movie.

Superb trailer. The lack of squid could be a good thing, as some people at the time of publication complained that it was a bit of a weak plot idea.

Snyder Defends Changes PLUS Watchmen DVD Details.

Remember V for Vendetta?

A few absolutely faithful scenes and everything else bilge?

I think you just have to take the film on its own merits. If you continuously hold it up against the graphic novel, then it's always going to fall some way short, I think.

Well Iron Man the movie was better than much of the comic, as was the first couple of Superman films.

The 60s Batman film was alot better than the comic of the time.

The film shouldn't be a direct copy it doesn't usually work.

But V for Vendetta movie was a pathetic castrated version of one of the greatest comics of all time.

Agrees (partially).

Mm, but those are films based on decades long running strips of wildly varying tone and quality, as opposed to a short run series held in high regard.

Ok then Ghost World was diferent and equally as good as the comic.

Mars Attacks was better than the short run comic strip/bubble gum card series it was based on.

The problem is much of Watchmen has totally dated, so how do you advance it?

I mean who could take a coldwar/Pakistan invasion by Russia story line seriously these days.
