I wonder if this has something to do with the 1960s Batman TV series DVD rights. Fox made the show, and, as I recall, WB aren't too keen on letting them release the DVD of a series featuring one of their characters. Of course, Fox would make a fair amount of dosh out of the Adam West Batman DVDs.
It mentioned (somewhere in there) that Fox would prefer to 'kill' the movie rather than have any share of the profits that might come their way. I hope it's sorted, Kevin Smith apparently watched some early footage and loved it. And I'd imagine (being a fan) he'd be pretty hard to please. Corporate f**kwits!

Smith was in Daredevil. He was probably contractually obliged to.

That lawsuit stuff over Watchmen is retarded. It's not like they were doing anything with the rights to the film anyways.
Looks great to me too. I'm sure the lawsuit we be sorted even if they have to pay out a large amount of cash. They can't shelve it, that would be criminal.
