Scariest film or TV programme you ever did see Page 4

When I was a kid the things that really scared me were in those documentary style programmes about ghosts and all that paranormal stuff, where there were proper grown-ups (I thought) talking like scientists (I thought) about evidence (I thought) of paranormal things. They were grown-ups on Television, why would they lie to me or be that stupid?

I was never scared by things that I understood to be fiction. Like Night of the Living Dead (I loved that when I was little) or all that vampire stuff.

BTW: I was out shopping for four hours and when I came back you had produced about 100 pages of posts. That's utterly insane.

Robocop trivia - when ED-209 lurched forwards threateningly, the sound guy put a lion's roar in in the edit to make it sound scarier. It's true! A robot with a lion's roar! Cool and the gang or what?

Wow, well it worked.

I've tried to find it on youtube, but I can't! Gah.

He's in his late Forties/Fifties. I don't know - I never bought him a birthday present.

Robocop TV show that was poor.

Any one reckon Dr Who was scary? Old school Daleks were pretty scary, till RTD made them all gay.

Again Loving Walter, has no one else seen this film?

i The evil, dwarf rape scene in the Psychiatric hospital.

ii The bit when the guy gets cut shaving and beats the two guys in wheel chairs to death with a chair.

I also found Joey Deacon a bit scary.

There's the roaring Ed at about 2 minutes in.

Oh, you were so pipped.

Even Muhammed Ali took a fall every now and then...

Kudos to Sooty for "Dead and Buried" - did you know it or google it?

Vaguely knew it, but Wiki'd Alien, then followed the links to the writers.

Oh my gawd!!
That's still terrifying. To me anyways.
Thanks for the link(s)!

Funniest line in that film, after the guy takes 30 seonds of high speed gatling guns and resembles a sponge and is so dead that a career at ITV beckons, "Somebody wanna call a goddammed paramedic?"

Steven King's IT was originally a television presentation that scared me for life. FOR LIFE!!!!
"everything floats down here..." *shudder*

nooooooooooo!
Don't quote from it!
