Sitcom based in a funeral home

I'm not referring to 'Death at a Funeral'. I'm trying to find the name of the actor who played a con trying to go straight. He ends up running a funeral home. He played a supporting role in 'A Bridge Too Far'.
Anyone know the name of the sitcom and or the actors name? Thanks for the help.

No idea, but moving this over to the British Sitcoms forum.

Was it In Loving Memory with Thora Hird? Only funeral home thing I can think of...

Dan

No - "actor who played a con trying to go straight".

I'm trying to imagine the prison prequel sitcom, with Thora Hird as the bulldyke of B-Wing.

'Funeral directors' is one of the things I've seen mentioned in several places as an example of overworked sitcom themes but I can't really think of any! I don't remember seeing In Loving Memory.

Are there others?

Are there others?

I found "That's Your Funeral" and "Fun at the Funeral Parlour".
Of course there's also "Der Tod ist kein Beinbruch".

Fun At The Funeral Parlour. That's the one we're looking for.

Rhys Thomas is ace in it.

Yeah, it's pretty good.
I haven't watched it in a while though...

It's on video tape. :O

Le gasp! :O

I shall keep an eye on the price and buy it once it's affordable to me. :)

Well done. :)

The magic of two carefully selected Google search terms.

Was it a series, or just a one-off thing? I've seen a clip of it on Youtube, and wasn't very impressed. Bill Oddie and Paul Whitehouse were in it, weren't they?

There were two series'.
