NI: The Fitz, So You Think You've Got Troubles. Not strictly related to the military conflict itself, but the society etc. (I've not seen either though.)

New sitcom I can't remember much about, but IIRC it's about a BBC News war correspondent and his/her team. Or something like that.

How about new sitcom called 'The Troubles' about a family of caterers who happen to live on the wrong side of the Falls Road, have orange hair and have just lost the contract at the Maze prison due to the Bobby Sands hunger strike.

I love this idea more than you know! :D

"Taking The Flak" (Martin Jarvis) currently in production.

Ireland was neutral in the War so that could be a good setting with maybe someone fleeing there to avoid being called up.
