A long scene broken into smaller parts

Hi,

One of my characters is interrogating various crime suspects one by one. The interrogations take place in the same room over a period of about an hour, but I want to show just a snippet from each suspect's interview - no more than a line or two. It will be almost like a montage, but will cut from suspect to suspect rather than watching one suspect leave and another enter.

It is really one scene, but is made up of several small snippets. Is it necessary to write each part as a separate scene, or is it posible to CUT TO a few minutes later in the same scene with a different character?

Hi Stuart

I've done the same with a few auditionees in a script and I just CUT TO: and left it all in one scene.

Hope this is useful

Dan

Hi Dan,

That seems like the most sensible way to keep the momentum of the action going. I'll do it that way.

Thanks for your help.

Stu
