Another sketch, by me

Ext. – Day – A green field.

Two knights – KERTHIN and PROTOSA – are preparing to attack each other.

PROTOSA:
Stand down, Dreadlord Kerthin! My armour is forged from the very hide of Gorelash, the great dragon of Tylan!

KERTHIN:
Protosa, defender of the alliance! You have prepared well for our meeting, I see. But you did not count on my bringing the fabled Iron Mace Of Wrath!

Protosa looks shocked. Kerthin runs at him. The two fight, landing increasingly bloody and grandiose blows on each other. As the two are locked close in mortal combat, both badly injured already but with Kerthin getting the better of things, protosa shouts

PROTOSA:
I had feared it would come to this… feel the cold fire of my +16 Icy Dagger of Subtlety!

Protosa thrusts the dagger deep into Kerthin’s neck. He grabs at the wound which is spurting blood theatrically, before falling to the floor dead.

PROTOSA:
I have never known a victory to taste this bitter.

S.O. offscreen: police car siren.

Cut To: A wider shot of the ‘field’ which is in fact a largish roundabout. A POLICEMAN is getting out of his car. He stands over the body of Kerthin.

POLICEMAN:
Jesus Christ!

Cut to: Shot of Protosa, raising his sword high, and running towards the policeman.

End Scene.

The names of these characters are actually the names of two of my characters in warcraft. Oh yes.

I'd be interested to know who saw the punchline coming?

Edited by Aaron.

It's nice, but it's also the final scene of Monty Python's The Holy Grail.

Still workable but needs a fresh twist, maybe the POoliceman says I have a holy note pad of arresting?

I couldn't think of a better way of delivering the gag than a policeman. Perhaps just panning out and showing them on the roundabout would be equally effective without the policeman, which I realise is a bit like Holy Grail.

This actually happened to me once.

Capitals in thread topics please.

No one would go for this because the similarities to Monty Python are just too great.

I'm thinking of taking the policeman out, so everybody would stop pointing out the similarities (it's got a knight! and a policeman) with HG. Yes, some of the characters are the same, but the joke is different...
