The text is ambiguous though. I think it just says he was erected.
Who was it who said their watchword was WWJLD, or What Would John Leslie Do? The point being that, when faced with a moral dilemma one should ask oneself that question, then do the opposite.

I haven't slept properly since year 4, when I was roughly 8.

I used to suffer from insomnia... Have no idea how I got over it but I worked out some weird system now it's so natural I don't know the difference.

I haven't read all this - but you'll be pleased to hear that I have no trouble sleeping.
Doze off at the weekends and often at work in the afternoon.
