Comedy Unit no longer accepting full scripts Page 12

Hell yeah, and I know I made a remark re credits Seefacts which was ill judged and totally against my normal stance, but the trouble with internet comments is that that the cold starkness sometimes doesn't betray the thought behind it and I thought you were being a bit mean about the guy whose script got slagged after he thought, after a pro review, that it was better than the production company responded with. And I am a hundred percent serious when I say that the more my empathy levels rise the better a writer I will be. It is almost tautological. The odds are so stacked against anybody writing in TV nowadays that we Band of Brothers and Sisters should at least stick together if we can. I'll provide the White Lightning and bandages.

:)

Yeah, it was a silly mix up over my point of basically 'get over it and move on'. The cold light of day shows posts to be quite harsh, when yeah, in reality things are much different.

I think we can all move on quite simply!

I also can't believe I used the phrase 'knows his beans'.

Answer the question about empathy then Pete.

I dont really understand it. I have to look up half the words people use on here on google before i respond.

I'm a bit like the Cole Trickle of comedy writing in that my stuff seems to make the relevant people laugh but i have no idea why or how. As soon as someone says "work on your characterisation" "or develop the plot dynamics" i have no idea what they are on about.

Start a new thread - once i get the gist as to what the question means i'm happy to contribute :D

Are you being concilatory Pete? God I hope so.

:)

Ha, no I liked it! Didn't see it coming.

Hey, someone bowls me a soft ball...

hang on - i need to google it

ok, first you spelt it wrong ;)

secondly....i dont think so, all the definitions sounded a little...gayish. Maybe i used a rubbish thesaurus. I'm not trying to make friends, just be honest...and, unless someone is clearly a deserving target for being wound up, i normally am honest.

So empathy...i know what it means (i looked it up while i did your other word) but i still dont know how it relates to writing (although it may be your questions is a little vague in the first place)

Good luck with your plan then.

Pete, what are you going to do if you go to meetings with producers and they start using words like "conciliatory" and "empathy" ?

Also, you do realise loads of people you will have to work with will be gay ?

Bingo, i'll find one and take them in with me to translate.

Rowlocks

There no call for you to shove your oar in.

Are you wearing a wig and big glasses when you do these?
