Cracking first post Morrace! Looking forward to hearing more from you.
Sitcom - appraisal welcome Page 6
It's all unraveling......clearly all those with less than 10 posts are the same person....however, behind it must be a regular user. It's to long winded for a passing troll (it's also not clever enough for a successful regular user)
Now up pops someone with lots of posts and support for the original poster...either this is the midget behind the curtain in Oz or someone who is nuts and really likes it!
I know I've not got ten posts, and am concerned I am being tarred with the same brush as Morrace (the 'now legendary Muldoon'), Sebastian and the 'incredibly talented' David.
This has to be a wind-up. Has to. Please let it be a wind up.
But you've all got great profiles too.
You talking about me pete? I'm no troll, been here for a while now. And I like cats.
P.S. I may be nuts, i'm travelling through Norway at the mo and the waters a bit funny.
This is getting ridiculous. And think about it - if it really was me posting under different names, would that have not come out yet? I suspect that the 'fake' ones (if any of them indeed are 'fake') have been posted by people who originally thought I was on a wind up, realised I wasn't, and now want to prove I am anyway to salvage their damaged pride. Well, TJOY!, as I see through you.
And thank you to those who have so far responded with good, constructive feedback. I'm considering putting up a bit more so that I can allay the fears fo those who can't see enough 'plot' yet.
Speak soon!
This is very, very funny. But I don't see it as a sitcom... perhaps a movie?
Stick with it, David.
This time next year the joke shops will be full of Moldoon wind-up toys.
Johnny D was that a delightful pun?
This thread has been closed, in order that people should get a chance to calm down. It will re-open at some point later.
Quote: Morrace @ July 4 2008, 2:21 PM BSTFunny is what situation comedy really should be. People like 'Muldoon' who find themselves in ridiculous situations are funny. We come to understand them better somehow when they curse and swear. Most of us swear - so why not sitcom (albeit post-watershed) characters? Too often, sitcoms and sketches posted on the 'Critique' section stop focusing on characters like (the now legendary!) 'Muldoon' - and just put cardboard characters into ridiculous situations.
They become joke machines. This sitcom (or excerpts of) is very funny, but it is not a 'joke machine' because the jokes are linked to 'Muldoon' and the way he responds to the world. Much in the same way David Moreton HIMSELF has bravely brushed aside the vitriolic jibes of those who are obviously jealous of his writing talent. May I add that another talented comedy writer, 'sootyj' (athough at odds with David Moreton in this thread!), often defends himself in the same way against the same jealous types - although his comedic offerings do not contain as much cursing or swearing - they are equally funny.
Well it's fair to say that the original poster of this isn't SootyJ. Unless that mother f**ker has gotten himself a mother f**king spell checker. Which would be cool. Mother f**ker. C**t. Etc.
Do you have sudden onset tourettes?

Lol. TJOY. Or what ever it is.

Cracking thread. I haven't got a clue who's who, or what on earth is going on, but still...cracking!
