Scripped

This was mentioned somewhere (I think it was Writers' Room): www.scripped.com

Allows you to work online and keep scripts online too. Only just tried it and it looks good for American TV format (maybe no use to anyone here!) and looks like it might be good for working from scratch, as I've tried to import but imports in .txt format, so you have to mess around a lot with it.

It is easy to use though. Also, it keeps your scripts online so someone else has to worry about the backups and all that. And an off-site backup is always good to have. (So, even if you just bung the unformatted text of your scripts
in there, you'll have a backup of sorts)

Anyway, it's free and it's backed up.

im writing an american drama, this looks good although i have got it formatted by researching the internet.

I've tried Scripped and it is good, I just don't like the fact you have to be online to work on the script... not very helpful if you're on holiday on the west coast of Ireland and the nearest wifi point is Dublin...

I'm going to stick to Celtx ( http://www.celtx.com/ ) which can be used offline and even loaded on to a thumb-drive.

They also offer online backup and PDF conversion.

ooohhh i like this . :)

Always keep at least one backup yourself of course!!

The risk with online backup is that the providers of the website might go bankrupt and shut down the site/service without any warning.
