Henley Loss

This is a Sootyj style sketch in that it took me 5mins over a cup of tea. Does it show?

GORDON BROWN AND RICHARD MCKENZIE ARE DISCUSSING THEIR RECENT HENLEY BY ELECTION LOSS

GORDON:I’m not happy about this Richard, how could you let this happen, what have you got to say for yourself?

RICHARD: Well to be honest Prime Minister I’m not very happy with it myself.

GORDONh really, well I’m not happy because firstly this has happened on my anniversary, secondly we couldn’t even get 3rd place behind the Lib. Dems never mind 5th and thirdly my rating in the opinion polls is now lower than that of Hitler during the Holocaust! So why are you not happy, worried about your £500 deposit I suppose?

RICHARD: Well, yes, partly.

GORDON:Why, what’s the problem?

RICHARD: I forgot to get a receipt.

GORDONh, shit.

Nice. Not sure about the historicity of the Hitler line. The whole question of the German people's attitude to Hitler and the Holocaust is kind of complex...

That was the line I was most unsure of. I just wanted three reasons why Gordon wasn't happy, and wanted to include the polls as one of them. Who's more unpopular in the general publics perception that I could use instead?

Oh dear am I that easy to replicate.

Not bad, but the Holocaust line is jarringly weak. Those one off lines are what actually get the lines in the skit. Like Jordan's tits, the rest of her is jsut there to support them.

Getting the one off line, in a short skit is the real trick.

A Frenchman leading a charge.
A German clown.

I dont understand this line.......

Those one off lines are what actually get the lines in the skit.
