Def Leppard & Whitesnake Page 2

He couldn't even get voted in to be our Eurovision entry. :(

Def Leppard's Hysteria is part of the sountrack to my youth - my God I loved that album. Totally overblown, over-produced cheesey rockfest for the ears. "Animal" is still one of my fave tracks ever. And the drum intro on "Rocket" still kicks ass. But Pyro was the better album I think, music-wise. Since then I believe they've had a few albums but not heard any. Any worth listening to?

edit: I've just checked up on Leppard's albums and f**k me if most don't sound like cheap aftershaves.

"High N Dry" 1981
"Adrenalize" 1992
"Retro Active" 1993
"Euphoria" 1999
"X" 2002
"Yeah!" 2006

They were from Suffolk, where one-trick ponies abound.

What happened to the Darkness? They were eclipsed by other bands. You just can't buy this stuff!

would have been good too see whitesnake back in their heyday. but def leppard are bollocks.

but if u ain't paying. night out i suppose. u could be sat in front of the monitor all night

the darkness only had one album in them. comedy rock band. listen to some tenacious d. or for the rap side of things u must check out goldie looking chain. not the mild singles.

Please use capital letters, Paul.

It's in them thar rules. https://www.comedy.co.uk/info/terms_of_use.shtml#BoardRules

"Pour your Sugar on me" has the daftest lyrics ever. We must congratulate the one arm drummer though, who can play good drums with his erm one arm.

All a question of opinion, and mine is that the above post is bollocks.

Whitesnake are still an excellent band now. Not quite at the level they were 20-25 years ago but still a bloody good band. Exactly the same with Def Leppard.

And The Darkness could have gone on for years, had Justin not upped sticks and buggered off. Reasons why? They were excellent musicians and wrote excellent songs. But, because those songs were hard rock with bloody catchy hooks, they'll always be villified by the majority of people.

Apologies for not jumping on bandwagons and being hip and down with the kids, but give me an album full of b-sides from any of the above bands rather than the latest Ting Tings album. Now there is an over-rated pile of shit if ever I heard one.

Did he have one big cock though Charley?

8888 posts, Dave. Is that also your age?

Shit - missed that.

Came here after a few drinks!

Nick do music a favour and take a machine gun, just to make sure you get them while they're all on the same stage.

Whitesnake - biggest plus, the sleeve covers. Biggest neg, what was inside them. Only once, I didn't ask for a refund, and that was the time I found a dog's turd inside.

Def Laffard - one of the few bands (apart from SlagB's) that made the profoundly deaf, enviable.

I'm not going to be popular with the above but controversy comes at a price. ;)

Well thats your birthday present out of the window then...

Is Def Leppard the one with a one armed drummer?

That's why they did so many ballads.
