Opinions on the Cristiano Ronaldo saga. As a United fan, I'm sick of hearing about it. You can't deny the man has superb talent and is one of the best, if not the best player in the world, but United aren't a one man team. Ronaldo isn't bigger than the club, only one man is for me and that is Alex Ferguson. It would be a shame to see him go but not disastrous. And I wouldn't encourage the management to lick his arse and get on their knees to make him stay, I would say 'Piss Off to Real Madrid' then. I think his whole behaviour on this transfer saga has been dispicable, during an interview after the Champions League final he said he would stay, now he is changing his mind. I think it is just a childish display of 'I'm bigger than the club and I will piss my own fans off to get some attention and watch them and the management crawl up to me and try and get me to stay' Well be no part in that. We stood by him when the entire nation really hated him (Post 2006 World Cup) and he has got a lot of legendery status. All this legendery status and respect would go if he went to Real Madrid.
But not disastrous if he went. We would get about £60 Million for him and we could use this money to buy some great players to replace him: Arshavin wants a move to the Premiership, a great player of what I've seen of him. Lukas Podolski looks an excellent player who can't get on the team at Bayern Munich I can see him doing a great job at United and of course Berbatov wants a move to a top club.
I dis-like players with such an arrogance, hence why I give my legendery status to hard working and commited players such as Vidic.
Cristiano Ronaldo / Real Madrid saga
Senna mate. He's the boy. As for Ronaldo. Not a football supporter but like watching football so I think I would miss what he brings to the game, but I still would have rather seen George Best.
He used the excue that Scolari said that he will only have one chance to play for Real Madrid and he must take it. You don't think that has got anything to do with Scolari being Chelsea manager and he wants to remove all threats. Is Scolari scaling up a 'Night of the Long Knives' in a quieter way. Surely Ronaldo is clever enough to realise what Scolari's aim is.
As an Evertonian, and former Wayne Rooney fan, all I can say is what goes around, comes around.
Also, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

I beg to differ.
My boss is an Everton supporter and he's leaving the office, so the staff and I are going out for a curry with him tomorrow night. As a farewell present, I've bought him Everton's victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup from 1995. Didn't enjoy buying it but there you go. In some ways I bet he'd prefer the 1996 FA Cup Final DVD where United beat Liverpool 1-0, I'm sure you understand why Graham.
Anyway, Graham, I see your frustration. But what about poor West Ham. They've had many top notch players that just go to bigger clubs, such as Carlos Tevez, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole.

No frustration, just schadenfreude. I'm delighted to see Fergie fall victim to his own tactics.
Rooney's agent Paul Stretford was openly telling all who would listen when Wayne first came onto the scene that he would give him two seasons at Everton to get his feet wet before delivering him to Sir Alex.
Still, at least we got Phil Neville.
Not to mention Tim Howard.
To be fair, we'll keep Tourettes boy. He's quite handy in goal.
It looks almost certain that Ronaldo will leave United to Madrid and to be honest if I was a United fan, I'd want to see the back of him. Yes, I admit it will be sad to see a player of such quality leave the premiership but the way he has treated United is terrible. He's just won the CL and Premiership and is now regarded by many as the 'best player in the world' and that is without doubt partly down to Alex Ferguson's trust and help in his development. United have helped him so much and he should of either came out after the CL Final and stated that he would be leaving the club or statedhis desire to become a 'legend' at the club. Instead he has refused to comment and increase speculation about his future. So, goodbye Ronaldo!
And don't get me started on Rooney. The horrible gobshite. One thing I don't understand is that the United fans always sing about hating scousers but yet every week they chant the name of Rooney. As far as I am concerned Rooney will hopefully never step foot in this city again. lol Good to get that off my chest.

He was at Anfield the other week for the McCartney gig. Probably sat in your seat.
Yes but every evil group has a nice person in there veins. The Nazi's and Oskar Schindler spring to mind.
lol I noticed that. I may personally wipe every single seat inside Anfield! I despise that guy, seriously! And, I'm not even a blue.
I think he's a great player, but he is over-rated. He doesn't score enough goals. If Ronaldo goes, his lack of goals will become more noticed and sadly can see him becoming the victimn of some criticism.
lol Rooney may be a nice guy outside football but he should never ever have gone to united. He could of went to Arsenal, Chelsea or even abroad but no he decided to go to United, which as you can understand Jack, is not going to be a popular decision. And the United fans cheering a scouser, one word, hyporcrites!
