Ha Ha! Can't say I agree. Ab Fab was excellent first couple of series but then like most wilted towards the end. French and Saunders was hit and miss. Too many misses for my liking.....ha ha! I'd make Aaron a Dame before her (He's repressed in so many ways)

What was wrong with French and Saunders I think it was great.If it was hit and miss, French and Saunders woul not be as famous as they are now.
They are very famous and very funny comediennes.

Her claim to greatness would be helped if she'd died about ten or fifteen years ago. She genuinely has done some great stuff, notably early French and Saunders and AbFab, but she hasn't produced anything of note for over a decade.
Ab-Fab was great for series 1 to 3 but after that it did tail off and it just wasn't as fresh and punchy in the later series or specials.
Like a few others have said, the F&S show was a bit of hit and miss. Sometimes the sketches were brilliant and other times I felt they were a bit poor.

Yes I understand what you're saying about French and Saunders.Some of the sketches are funny and others not but overall I think it's great fun to watch and most of it is visual comedy.
I also have to say I prefer the later series' of abfab probrably because I understand them more I don't know.

True. People remember only the great stuff like Dead Parrot and Hell's Grannies. But some of it (especially after Mr Cheese left) was rubbish.

Basically it was a bunch of very funny guys in the 70s who wrote a load of hilarious sketches and called their show Monty Python's Flying Circus.
