Viagra in sport

Viagra as a performance enhancing drug in sport

INTERVIEWER:
Athletes aiming to get ahead of the competition are now resorting to sex drugs in their quest for glory. We now understand that Viagara is being used in the face of stiff competition. With us tonight is a prominent Olympian who for obvious reasons prefers not to be named. We have chosen to ignore him.

MAN IN RUNNING KIT SITS IN A CHAIR WITH HIS HEAD COVERED TO PROTECT HIS IDENTITY. HIS SHORTS HAVE AN ENORMOUS BULGE IN THEM.

INTERVIEWER:
Roger Cockup. Drugs in sport have always been frowned upon. Why do you feel it is acceptable to take a drug to enhance your performance, particular one designed for sex not athletics?

ROGER:
It’s a hard one. The pressure to keep it up to the very end is getting more and more difficult. To satisfy my coaches I have to go all the way.

INTERVIEWER:
Are there any side effects?

ROGER:
It’s true I need bigger shorts now and must admit I’ve had some problems in the relay.

INTERVIEWER:
Please explain to us how Viagara helps you in competition.

ROGER:
Well, it’s all about the big finish. As I approach the climax I have people coming at me from all directions so I always try and put in a big spurt and Viagara definitely helps with this. Unfortunately by then I’m then too knackered to run."

END

I was convinced this was going to become a pole vaulting gag.

Are you sending this to NewsRevue?

I think you have just broken the record for the most double entendres in a single sketch. But I like the way it is all kept very matter of fact without labouring the gags. For instance the relay reference is left very much to the imagination. Nice one.

Yep - it has gone to NR. I don't tend to post in Crit until the deadline passes but I've still only had one accepted so I'm not that bothered.

It's a bit Carry On but I rather like that. It's deliberately over the top - shame I didn't think of the pole vaulting reference! :D

That's why you should post in critique, before sending:) Nice sketch, if it doesn't make it you know why!

Brilliant sketch. There's nothing more can be said other than that.

Oh - and 'Roger Cockup' - PUH-leeese!!!

Laughing out loud

I make no apologies - it was deliberately naff to fit with obvious double entendres elsewhere.
