Absolutely f**king shocking. Definitive proof that the Iraqi war is down to oil. If there was ever a country which needed external military intervention, this is it.
Zimbabwe
The infuriating thing, is if South Africa pulled support the country would collapse in a week.
This could be done by hardcore diplomatic pressure on Zimbabwe's neighbours.#
Mugabe is a lost cause.
After all of the troubles they've had in the past, one would have thought that they'd be more sympathetic to their neighbours' population's troubles.
And, for once in his f**king life, when it is needed most, that wanker Mandela is refusing to make any political comments at all.
Bah.
This is what gets me. We should be over their helping them out. I know many of the lads themselves will agree.
Sadly what would we get out of it.
|We will never intervene unless it is against us or we have something to gain.
We were unceremoniously shown the door by Rhodesia - why the hell should we get involved ?
"That wanker Mandela" - Aaron Brown, June 23, 2008
He is nearly 90 you know.
I mean we were shown the door by Robert Smiths "more racist" than South Africa gouvernment. Comparing that to Zimbabwe is innacurate.
And we should help because there are millions, being crushed, and opressed. Who do not represent their gouvernment.

It's not so much that we SHOULD get involved, as that there is more merit to our being involved there than there ever was in Iraq. Interesting link though.

Don't really give a shit, Sooty, whether it is Zimbabwe or Rhodesia it is an African problem

I agree on the merit side but it is time this country stopped interfering in other countries politics and fixed itself
To some extent they did all kick us out. But he can't be allowed to get away with it. He thinks he's indestructable.
Why is it our problem - let the UN sort it out

What about overseas aid?

It makes us feel better but probably goes into some dictators party fund anyway

I'd just like to see the smile wiped from his shiny, shiny face. The Zimbabwean Government must be the world's sole largest customer of Pledge.

Now here's a man after my own heart.
