It is part comedy. When they do those completely scripted films of setting caravans on fire 'by accident'/ruining someone's garden, etc.
You may or may not find it funny, but those bits are definitely supposed to be comedic.
I think it's the best sitcom on TV.
Agree with Phill. It's the funniest thing on TV by far. I felt incomplete when it wasn't on. Ah, back to normal now...
