There is a project apparently under way over in Pontypridd backed by Sir 'Dicky' Attenborough to produce films in Wales. I thinked they've nicknaned it 'Valleywood'. But have a Google around.
I was at a talk last night with Russel T Davies and he was saying how great programmes do get made in Wales but rarely get shown in the rest of the uk. Seems people are scared of Welsh accents. (His words, not mine). One of the reasons he set Torchwood in Cardiff was to put Wales on the tv map, so to speak.
I'm sure there will be welsh avenues to go down if you really want to, but unfortunately all the real business is still in London.
