THE QUEEN AND PRINCE PHILLIP ARE SITTING DOWN TALKING ABOUT WHO SHOULD BE HONOURED.

Prince Phillip
So, who you going to choose this time around?

The Queen
(SIGHS) I can not believe it is that time of the year again.

Prince Phillip
(LAUGHS)So, who will one be choosing?

The Queen
Oh I do not know, would one pass me the TV guide?

Prince Phillip
(GIVES THE QUEEN THE TV GUIDE) There you are.

The Queen
Thank you. (OPENS TV GUIDE AND STARTS TO LOOK THROUGH) Oh, how about Paul O‘Grady? An MBE should do. Actually, that reminds me, have you Sky plused the re-run of his afternoon chat show?

Prince Phillip
Yes, your favourite was on.

The Queen
Who?

Prince Phillip
The singer, well he sings but he is an all round entertainer.

The Queen
Who? Oh, Des O’Connor?

Prince Phillip
No, the other one.

The Queen
Chico?

Prince Phillip
That is the one. Chico (LAUGHS) What time is it?

The Queen
(LOOKS AT WRIST) It’s Chico time. Oh I do love him. Let’s give him a knighthood. Sir Chico, sounds good.

Prince Philip
Fantastic. Bravo!

The Queen
(LOOKS IN TV GUIDE) Oh I do not know who else to choose? Is there anyone you believe should be rewarded Phillip?

Prince Phillip
Oh yes.

The Queen
Who?

(SMILES) Roy Chubby Brown. Actually, I was going to say Alex from Big Brother but she’s….

The Queen
A bully?

Prince Phillip
No black.

The Queen
Oh Phillip I wish you wouldn’t. (SHAKES HEAD)

Very good.

Not quite sure why Phillip says "Tell me about it" but the queen goes on to say "Pass one the tv guide", but very good.

It's good, but update your refferences. Chico is well dated.

I agree with Sooty about Chico being a bit out of date now. Also, I felt the bit in the middle regarding Chico being on the POG show was a bit long winded. Otherwise you have to go a long way for the payoff.

Are you sending this to NewsRevue? Try and stuff in a couple of gags in the middle and you could be on to a winner.

I did think this was funny, but I have absolutely no idea who Chico is.

Unless we are talking the Marx Brothers, in which case, yes, the reference probably does need updating.

lol cheers for the feedback Timbo. Chico was just some untalented X Factor contestant who had his 15 minutes of fame a few years back. I'll change him to someone else.

sounds more natural when read aloud.

I updated it slightly so it sounded more natural, like the example you just pointed out there. So the version I got in was not much different from this really.

Was just wondering if anyone is going down in the next couple of days to watch the show? I wonder how people reacted to it?
