James Bond parody

Hey guys,

Here is a link to a 5 minute james bond parody i've made using Cool Edit Pro:

I play all the parts; it's fair to say my impression of a woman is somewhat lacking.

I've submitted it into that Radio Haha E4 competition. Anyone else entering that?

Here is a link to the second part of the series:

Fil

P.s anyone spot the I'm Alan Partridge and Simpsons nods?

That's very nice, some good gags, actually some top gags.

The martini the one, the middle name one, and a great feel.

I'd dump the narration and play it as a straight play. The jokes, and set up are strong enough not to need framing.

But other wise good to see some good Bond parrodying.

Nice sketch, lots of good gags and well performed.

Cheers guys. Should i get rid of the narration altogether then? It's just hard in audio to set up the situation sometimes.

Not usually a big fan of radio sketches, but really enjoyed that. I agree with sootyj that it would work well without the narration.

Picked up on the Simpsons bit. Don't watch Alan Partridge though.

Thanks Kev. I will take out the narration before i submit it. I was going for a whole 'radio 4' vibe. Writing for radio is fun, because you can actually act out everything yourself, and can write for any location just by including an appropriate 'bed' underneath it.

Has anyone else written for radio? How hard is it to get anything on air?

(Oh, and the Alan Partridge reference was: 'I'll have a pint of bitter.' I don't reckon that is one of the lines that gets quoted back to him that often.)

Hey everyone.

I've put together a second bond parody following on from the first. Let me know what you think. I've taken out the narration like you guys suggested.

Did anyone else enter that E4 radio haha competition? The deadline is in 2 days.

Very good, but kicking the gun out of his hand spoilt things a little.

Maybe kicks him in the nuts or something more juvenile.

Otherwise top stuff.

Yeah, good idea. Originally Blond said: "Why are you telling me what happened? I'm standing right next to you." Then 0006 said: "Well, i thought maybe you weren't WATCHING at the time." But it was possibly breaking down the the fourth wall a bit too much.

I also think the more Bond is a nerdy, failure the better, you keep that up very nicely.

I wouldn't give him a gun, maybe a piece of dog shit on a stick, or a can of Mr Muscle (it'll really sting your eyes).

But these are all tweaks to an ace peice of work, that would look good in many formats.

Seeing as though we're doing bond sketches, thought I might as well bring this one back to life. Listening back, I do cringe at a lot of it...and at my 'acting'. Whistling nnocently
