INT LIVING ROOM
(Gavin walks in to find Michelle lying in a dramatically dead position on the floor.)

GAVIN:

Oh my god Michelle! No! Oh God.

(He picks up a letter she has on her hand)

Dear John, I'm sorry that it came to this, I just couldn't find a way to let you know how I felt. It just hurts so much to be like this. I am so tired of this life, so very very tired I love you very much and please know I never meant to hurt you.

We will meet again.

Love Michelle

P.S Can you wake me up before Neighbours?

(Michelle snores a bit.)

Cow.

Like it :)

cheers!

Haha!

Enjoyed this. I wonder how you'll play it though, what with the joke being on notepaper. Perhaps you should format it in a way that makes it clear.

I'd do it by having Michelle read it out in voice over with Gavin reacting appropriately.

Ah, I'd probably also have the letter start 'Dear Gavin' rather than 'Dear John'.

Ooh. Salient point. Mr observant.

I'd keep as Dear John but in the PS say Gavin, can you wake me up etc

Good stuff.

yeh there was a name error. I meant for John to read it out but I guess a voice over for Michelle would work. This one was made for stage.
