Not getting away from it all Page 20

I don't want to do English anymore-it means my Personal statement actually has to be well-written. :(

Write it in Esperanto. That'll learn 'em.

How awful that they insist on it being well-written - anyone would think you were doing a language subject Cool

I know! Ridiculous! I have started with a quote, but it's a bit long and taking up words.

'It was the best of times....'?

Nope! Laughing out loud

You know you are going to have to post it here. We all did when we went to uni. It's a BSG tradition.

It's so bad, though! You post yours from back then, and you can see how bad mine is!

I went so long ago I didn't have to do one.

>_< Unfair.

You can read it if you like, but your eyes will explode.

I work well both as an individual and as part of a team.

Awesome.
They all have to have that line, it's the law.

It hasn't got that line yet.:O

My friend just read it and says he's not sure I'm honest in it, but I am! :(

Honest! Your kidding me. Just make the bullshit untraceable. E.g. I am an Olympic standard swimmer. If they drag you down to a pool and ask you to give them 10 I'll personally give you £100.

I have a weekend in Cork coming in a few weeks. I am getting a plane over on my own. Staying the first night on my own & will probably end up masterbating becaue I will be on my own. Oh & the fact that I am married too. God yes. Thats why I would'nt dream of not going back on my own.

*coughs*

Are you sure you're not having cork in soon?

Why on your own? Haave you been exiled?

A few have jumped at me, but too many which are too diverse to allow me to write a personal statement-and I can't order them for toffee!

Ah. Hm. Yes. Well, if it's any help, I considered the following:
How far I felt I wanted to be from home (important for me with my poor health).
What I did with most of my time then (ie before writing it, hobbies and whatnot).
What aspects of the subject(s) the course prospectus summary thingy said it was focussing on (if applicable).

And of course what I thought I would be able to do for three years without killing myself. Remember that's at least three years of the exact same thing, just to varying extents. Pick something you're really interested in, or you WILL regret it.

The Aaronmeister hit the nail when he said 'interested in'. I didn't and spent 4 years enjoying the social side but skipping as many lessons as I could 'cos I was bored out of my skull! Not a great way to get a good degree.
I only got a third because of it (they even refused to put me in for one exam because I hadn't been to any lectures and they nearly threw me out full stop) I had to get a further degree before anyone would take me seriously. Learn from my cock ups!
Ooh, I feel kind of cleansed now.
