Maybe I had some sort of terrible childhood experience whilst watching Airplane.

The auto-pilot isn't a blow-up doll in real life you know!

It's not 80s but my favourite line from The Jerk,

"It was never easy for me. I was born a poor black child"

That is a great line; Martin actually used that in his stand-up act, a lot of that film was adapted from bits he would do on stage.

Actually, this is my favourite line from Airplane!:

Young Boy (holding coffee): Cream?
Small Girl: No thanks. I take it black, like my men.

Murray is the bomb, he came up with a lot of his own lines in that movie too.

How true is that?

His performance is my favourite ever individual comedy performance ever. Virtuoso.

"That's right boys, it's Dr. Venkman!"

(After being asked if he's using the kit correctly)
"Well . . . I think so."

Cool, yet to see his stand up, apart from the odd clip.

Anyone seen The Couch Trip featuring Dan Aykroyd? It's worth a couple of watches and features this line:

Donald Becker: [to Laura] I love you passionately. From the first moment we met, I knew I aroused a powerful emotion in you. It was disgust, but I can build on that.

It's a matter of great debate. Everyone involved in Ghostbusters has different views.

Ive got his live albums, but you can tell youre missing loads as hes obviously a very visual comedian.

Night Shift was good - Michael Keaton, Henry Winkler, Shelley Long

No, Im pretty sure its true, I remember some documentary where the cast of Ghostbusters said that very thing. Not that he was making up all his lines, there was obviously a script, but that he was aloud to riff and come out with stuff, so there were lots of little lines that was just stuff he was coming out with.

Ah right. I was just going by what I read on Wikipedia a while back.

It just sounds like one of those myths that you really want to believe.

Yeah I can imagine. I have his Best of SNL, but I must admit I did not and never have found SNL funny. Well maybe the odd Youtube clip.

Ah, that font of truth!
Laughing out loud

I rely on wiki for all my facts!

I can't believe we haven't mentioned 'Scrooged' yet.

Another classic Murray performance.

I've used wikipedia for most of my courseworks at uni, haven't failed one yet!
