I feel sorry for the black player Spain have in their starting line-up, considering the racist comments that Spain's manager Louis Aragones was filmed saying, about Thierry Henry, a few years ago, before Spain played a match against France.
Spain look out of sorts in this just as the other group winners before them did - I really hope they get through or I am giving up on this tournament!
What were the "racist" comments?
Guess
This is the only clip I could find that had English subtitles. The Aragones incident comes on at 4:25: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwpO-nnFY9g&feature=related
Referring to a black person as black. Shocking, shocking stuff. Truly reprehensible.
I'd somehow guessed that Aaron might not see a distinction between calling someone a piece of shit and calling someone a black piece of shit.
His real names is Eddie Aaron Booth
Anyway, when the hell does this end? I want the news (and Commercial Breakdown), damnit.
These two teams are meant to be some of the best in Europe and they are boring the pants off everybody - penalties will be the most exciting part
Crap match but thankfully Spain got through
I'd like to see Russia win it now.

Senna was bloody good. I'd like to see him replace Makelele.
Quote: Badge @ June 22 2008, 1:14 AM BSTIf you would prefer to watch a "popular" side grind out a result rather than freeflowing Russian attacks then good luck to you.
I bet the Baltic states, Czech republic etc would rather not see a free-flowing Russian attack.
Senna was the only player on the pitch as far as I could see.
Spain were luckier than the three other group winners - Italy had Perlo suspended - they scraped through on penalties. Note to all managers, don't rest your first team for the sake of giving squad members a game, you will lose continuity and quarter finals.
