Frick, Holland are out now - all of the teams that changed their line-ups so radically for the 3rd group game have all gone out. That has to tell us something about continuity?!

Oh dear, well I wanted them to win the tournament too but on tonight's showing they couldn't have won a raffle!
It didn't even look like the same team out there. I don't understand what happened. They weren't even completing their passes. F**k I'm depressed right now. 
Well as I said in an earlier post - Portugal, Croatia & Holland all put out 2nd string teams for the third group game and all 3 looked as though they were a different team from the first two games - in the quarters.
Portugal sucked the entire tournament through. But I see what you mean for Croatia.
Holland, Spain and England are the 3 big under-achievers of World football. If all the National football sides of the world were a class full of school children, Holland, Spain and England would be some of the brightest kids in the class, but would f**k up, come exam time, due to them not bothering to revise.
I think that analogy works, but I've had quite a bit to drink, so I'm not sure. Anyway, you get the idea.
Bit of credit for Russia maybe? Last two games they have been sensational, and could have won much more easily in each with better finishing.

I get you now - popularity is inveresely proportional to crapness. Well, to these eyes Russia certainly aren't crap and they are very popular with me. If you would prefer to watch a "popular" side grind out a result rather than freeflowing Russian attacks then good luck to you.
