It is Alan's choice but John Gordon Sinclair is just one of those guys who is so funny without trying. It is not highbrow stuff but I have watched it a dozen times and could watch it a dozen more

Never The Twain. Sinden and Davies in a comedy masterclass of how to take mugging top new heights. Strangely enjoyable, though.
Just to sum up what everybody has put. Please Sir in my opinion is a classic sitcom and nothing wrong with being a fan. Fresh Fields was shocking. Father Ted is amazing and definetly not over-rated.
My choice would be Never the Twain. Nothing attractive about it and can't describe why I like it, just find it very funny, though not many people agree with me.
