Almost Haunted
EERIE HOUSE WITH A TEAM OF PARANORMAL INVESTIGATORS. WITH THEM IS A MEDIUM CALLED ERIC WHO CLAIMS TO BE ABLE TO GET IN CONTACT WITH UNSEEN ENTITIES. HE ALSO CLAIMS TO BE GUIDED BY A SPIRIT GUIDE NAMED 'TOM' THAT ONLY ERIC CAN HEAR.
ERIC: Whats that Tom? Oooh.. yes I can feel something(closes his eyes) I'm picking up....I'm picking up your bag Jim and I'm going to put it over there.
Yes something is coming through now. I'm getting a stench. Yes theres a stench... I'm not sure what it is...whats that Tom, its coming from one of us? (slight shock in his voice)
JIM(member of team) : (raises his hand) I um... I farted.
ERIC: Theres definately something happening now. I can.... yes (stalls for a few seconds) (In a deep almost possessed voice with his eyes closed)
'Where is Jason? Jason should be here.' Ahem...(clears throat)...Oh excuse me, something in my throat. Where is Jason? I thought he was going to rig the second camera.
JIM: He should be here in a minute.
ERIC: Can we try the next room. I'm being drawn to the kitchen area. Ah yes I'm picking up... There was a lot of cooking done here. Pots and pans everywhere...Whats that Tom? Sorry Tom I did'nt hear that. Sorry Tom. Just one more time...
TOM: (walks into camera shot. He is a real person and just looks like any other member of the team) (slightly annoyed) Christ! Are you deaf? I said tell them about the cook that got scalded.
ERIC: (eyes closed as if he just received the information from another plain) Ah yes thank you Tom. The cook was cooking dinner one evening and a huge pot full of boiling water toppled over scalding her to death.
FRANK (another member of the team): I did'nt want to say anything but I'm getting this overwhelming heat all along the front of me...
JIM: Yeah that electric heater is on full blast right in front of you.
FRANK: Oh right. Sorry.
TOM: (looking up information in a book) Its rumoured that the cruel owner of the house may have pulled the pot of water down on top of the cook.
ERIC: Yes I was just about to say that, thanks Tom. I think this is where we should be able to pick up most of the activity.
THEY SIT IN SILENCE AND THEN HEAR WHAT SOUNDS LIKE A PIPE BEING HIT.
FRANK: (SCARED) Did you hear that?
TOM: I thought I heard someone frown right behind me!
PIPE SOUNDS CONTINUOUSLY.
FRANK: Oh my God there it is again.
THEY ALL LOOK NOTIBLY SCARED.
FRANK: Jim did you hear that?
JIM: (leaning against the wall looking extremely bored) Hmm?
Wha...? Oh yeah, thats me I'm just kicking the pipe. Did you hear that though?
A FAINT WAIL CAN BE HEARD IN THE BACKGROUND AND GRADUALLY GETS LOUDER. WE CATCH A GLIMPSE OF A WHITE SHEET PASSING A DOORWAY BEHIND THEM. THEY ALL TURN AROUND THE WAILS GET LOUDER AND THE WHITE SHEET ENVELOPES THE CAMERA.
NEXT DAY. FRANK IS OUTDOORS IN THE DAYLIGHT SUMMISING ABOUT THE HAPPENINGS FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE.
FRANK: ....so there seems to have been a lot of activity and a lot of questions we didnt have a direct answer for such as the stench. Granted Jim did have an upset stomach all day but would that give him licence to fart on camera or was it the stench of evil...
Eric did indeed have a sore throat. He had been taking hacks all day but does this explain his deep voice or had he been possessed?
The sensation of heat I felt. That heater was burning the face off me but did that explain why I felt so warm and was Jim kicking the pipe in a way we could hear it or were they silent kicks and what we heard was something else entirely.
Finally and most crucially was Jason after getting hit on the head with his own camera, the white camera cover fell over him and in a state of confusion he staggered in wailing for us to help him because of the big gash on his head or was it proof on camera of a non-Jason, non-human ghost.
All these questions will not be answered next week right here on Almost Haunted.
