It has to be the theme tune to 80's favorite 'Sorry' surely?
What's the world's greatest theme tune? Page 5
Says the man with Tony as his avatar!

Not so much a theme tune, but I love it on Countdown when it goes 'dee-dee doo-doo blibbetybob bbbowwwwwwww'.
And you have to do the 'bbbowwwwwwww' really loud.
Ace.

The 50's weren't renowned for their signature tunes though really. (Oh except for... Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen...)
"Rah-bin...the Hooded Man."
Totally fits, IMHO. Robin Of Sherwood, of course.
And noone mentioned Blackadder?! For shame! Although... which one? I'd go for first series.
Don't forget the lute player at the end of series two episodes though!
Rhubarb and Custard
60 Minutes. I whistle it all the time.

I couldn't stand that! I watched my Dad's DVD of it recently (I read a Scully book and thought it was brilliant) but I really hated the theme tune! I don't know why, it's a bit of an irrational hatred.

EC is a bit of a God really - and he's married the beautiful Diana Krall.
Check out Trust and Imperial Bedroom.
What the hell is Scully?

80s comedy drama about a kid from Liverpool. Surely it's on her somewhere isn't it? If it was a decent site that is.

The 70s had all the best themes, didn't they? Ok, some were older shows but still going in the 70s:
Some Mothers do Ave Em
Superstars
It's a Knockout
Ski Sunday
Grandstand
Sportsnight
The Wombles
Man Alive
Panorama
Dr Who
The Flashing Blade
Robinson Crusoe
The Pink Panther
Mastermind
Batman
etc etc
I think if I had to choose one I'd go for Sportsnight, as it really did the job of generating excitement for late night sporting action (either the Greyhound Derby, boxing for the amateur bantamweight title, or an FA cup third round replay from Selhurst Park). Altogether now:
diddudiddudiddiddiddudiddididduddidder, diddudiddudiddiddiddudiddididduddiddah, dah da-da-da, dah da-da-da, dah da-da-da, dah da-da-da, dah dadadadadah da da da dadadadah da da da dadadadah da da da dadadadah da da da da da dadadadada da!
