Fireworks

I should be revising but this came to me. Writing this down as it comes so it won't be perfect.

EXT. A Garden - night

A group of adults are stood around in the garden, dressed in coats, hats, gloves and scarfs. Watching the bonfire and fireworks going off. There are lots of loud bangs and whistles. We can hear screams comming from inside the house behind them.

WOMAN
The kids really don't like fireworks do they? Listen to that din they're making, you'd think they were being raped or something.

The adults laugh.

INT. A room - night

There are 4 kids huddled up together backed up against a wall. A shadow is cast over them and it is slowly getting bigger

BOY
Please don't hurt us! Leave us alone Mr Glitter!

Hmm, didnt really do anything for me that one Chris. Maybe others would disagree, but I dont think that works in any way. Sorry if that seems harsh!

I like the core idea but tend to agree with Matt.. maybe if you work on it a bit, e.g. you could change the womans response:

WOMAN:
The kids really don't like fireworks do they? Listen to that din they're making
- anybody'd think they were being sexually abused!

ALL THE ADULTS LAUGH HEARTILY

:)

Ha, I like that idea. I shall edit the post now.

He! He! You are awful, but I like it! (to pp Dick Emery)
