A Small Problem

A Small Problem was a brilliant/insane/offensive sit com on BBC1 about 20 years ago.

The gouvernment locks up all midgets in ghettos.

It was meant to be an anology for Apartheid Nazism etc, but was pulled after 6 episodes, after record numbers of complaints.

Anybody else remember it?

It's only a vague memory in my mind but I would be surprised if it got more complaints than Curry and Chips?!

It lasted 6 episodes, about 4 more than a sitcom on ITV I've forgotten, but featured a school where the girls were brasses.

Hardwicke House? *shrug*

I remember this. It was the first outing for Christopher Ryan after The Young Ones came to an end. From memory it was even marketed as the new comedy with 'Mike from the Young Ones'.

I liked it but I do remember it being canned due to the subject matter. I would love to get this on dvd but I don't think it is available.

Def.

Was he that short?

Chris Ryan is 5 foot exactly, So I have heard.

Def.

Yes, I have some memories of it. Apparently a new EU ruling meant that anyone under a certain height would be classed as a 'small' and have to go and live with the other smalls in south London. Time for a remake!
