Two men walking along seafront at Margate......

Written after seeing a lot of memorial wooden benches for various deceased people on the seafront at Margate....

Two middle aged men walking along seafront at Margate

Todd : 'Those poor people’

Mitchell : (absently) ‘Mmm…’

Todd :‘…all wiped out by the same Tsunami’

Mitchell :(reacts) ‘…the same Tsunami’? What are you talking about?!’

(They inspect some of the plagues on the benches and discover that the dates
of death are not the same…- ‘Doris loved to sit here 1923-1995’….’In memory of
R Knoll 1931-2002’ etc)

Todd : 'My god! The authorities must be taken apart for this! After the
first time, they let people BACK again and AGAIN!... just let them
sit here, year after year... while out at sea, moving inexorably toward them…’

he points…

The two characters look out to sea in deep thought.

I like this. I am not sure how it is going to work visually with the name plaques though.

Agree with Timbo. Good though.

I don't really get this one. Do the two characters think there was a relentless never ending Tsunami or just one every year?

And come to think of it, why would they think all these deaths were caused by a Tsunami?
